Accomplishments I Made at Ivy Creek Elementary School

Ivy Creek Elementary School

Three to four times a week I came to Ivy Creek Elementary School and interned in the Media Center.  My mentor Miss Sharp taught me how to catalogue, cover, and log books.  This year I have re-organized the entire book room, read to students, re-did the fiction section in the Media Center, and performed many "mini" projects along the way.  In the Media Center, I know that I have made a difference to the Gwinnett County School System because if it weren't for me, many projects would still not be done.  With a new book room, kids are able to find books easier and volunteers are able to shelf the books back more efficiently.  With a new fiction section, kids are able to search more specifically with books they desire to read.  Seeing the difference I was able to make these past few months at Ivy Creek Elementary School gives me hope that I will be able to make a difference in this world in my future.
